Zohran Mamdani Promises a 'Dawn' for New York City in First Address

An Unprecedented Leader

As his administration begins, Mamdani and his wife will move from their Astoria apartment to the stately Gracie Mansion. The outgoing mayor offered a unusual warning about a supposed resident spirit in the home, which reportedly only haunts those who fail to “do right by the city.”
